This stirred up a debate in a FB group I belong to. And then it was deleted cause basically no one agreed with OP on her stance of it being the teacher's fault too. So, where you do fall in the category of who is to blame?

He's lucky he's not my kid. He'd be without a phone, made to apologize to the teacher, I would own all his social media accounts and that's just the beginning.

Didn't his parents teach him not to touch shit that didn't belong to him??

Man, I'd go as far to sue him and his parents. lol. The school made her resign cause of him. That's bullshit right there.

This has been the common mistake we've been making for decades now that has destroyed the ability of Millenials to cope with real life. Not holding them responsible for their actions. When there's no accountability EVER for any of their behavior, they end up like most of "Generation Me". It's always someone else's fault.

Disgrace. I would sue the Family if I were her.

I would be fucking livid if my children pulled some fucking stunt like this, to a teacher or NOT. I'd hang my head in shame, ground them from everything and everywhere, and make a super horrible chore list.

Yes, she should sue tf out of those parents and the school district.

I would be horrified if my kid caused this!! This is not the teachers fault at all. I really wish she would have had a lock on the phone so that she would have never had to go through this. I honestly don't know I could find a way to punish my kid enough.. Hell I'd be so embarrassed I'd put his ass in another school! If she does sue the family that kid needs to be the one to pay for it.. And not in some cushy job in mall with his friends.. But real, work your fingers to the bone labor, work!
